Marking our 19th Sanctuary and our second location in the Prairie State, Alo Old Orchard officially opened its doors this past week, and the vibes were nothing short of blissful.
Acro yogis moving marvelously through the air. Yummy bites to enjoy while shopping the latest Strawberry Lemonade color drop. And a newfound group of humans to bend, stretch, and breathe with all year long.
Needless to say: the Midwest has become an Alo favorite.
Located within the Westfield Old Orchard Center, Alo feels right at home near fellow industry powerhouses such as Nordstrom and Apple in this outdoor venue. If it were up to us, we’d make every shopping center an open-air experience like this one, because is there anything better than alfresco browsing?
The village of Skokie is located just 16 miles northwest of downtown Chicago and stands as one of the North Shore’s most accessible and desirable locales. What were once swamps and forests that wouldn’t necessarily entice you to venture out of the city is now a thriving space of culture, diversity, and history.
Between marvelous art and entertainment options, world-class shopping, and dining offerings to write home about, Skokie is starting to creep up on “The Bean” as a top sight during a trip to Chicago.
Visiting one of our Sanctuaries is a must for the full Alo experience. And for that reason, we’ve been on a mission this year to plant new roots all over the world inspiring mindful movement, bringing forward fashion, and building community in the process.
From Aspen, Colorado to Boston, Massachusetts to Miami, Florida, Alo has had the pleasure of connecting with new neighborhoods and local residents IRL since our doors opened.
Having this physical presence and interaction means the world to us--with yoga translating to “unity,” this spirit of togetherness lies at the core of our brand and any opportunity to expand that reach is a priority.
Alo Sanctuaries are specifically designed to cultivate wellness in every way, shape, and form — events that foster camaraderie, classes that energize collective movement, clean beauty bars that open up new pathways for enhanced self-care, and, of course, unparalleled street and performance-wear that elevates time spent on and off the mat.
Our mission is to bring these in-the-flesh wellness hubs to every city, but as we get there, join our online community for free virtual classes every week and hang with us as you travel through these major thoroughfares where we currently reside.
