It's Called Magic Multi-Balm: There’s Nothing It Can’t Do

Infinite uses, infinite glow — if you make one self-care purchase, make it this.

The addictive, everything balm to end them all (the “all” being your most pesky skin complaints) is finally here — meet Magic Multi-Balm.

This impossibly lightweight, buttery formula is made with amla, Amazonian buruti fruit, and moringa antioxidants and, just like us, you’re bound to fall in love with its many (and when we say “many,” we mean it) ways to use it.

For a look into all the ways this beauty-boosting balm is saving our skin, keep balm and keep reading.

LET'S TALK FRAGRANCE

A highly debated topic in skincare: to fragrance or not to fragrance? We went natural for this formula (and all other beauty products we choose to fragrance), leading with naturally sourced orange peel oil for its light, fresh, uplifting aromatherapeutic benefits.

With something you're going to wear almost everywhere, we made sure this scent was universally flattering for all genders — and it just so happens, a little bit addictive. Because we highly recommend using this on your lips throughout the day (hello, cold weather lip-saver), we made sure this formula was slightly sweet, sugar-free, and pleasant tasting. Just like those tubes of glittery gloss from childhood but cleaner, vegan, and wildly more effective.

ALL ABOUT NOURISHING INGREDIENTS

For Magic Multi-Balm to be multi-use, we had to create a formula that was nourishing, moisturizing, anti-aging, and ultra-gentle on all skin types. Spoiler alert: we cracked this seemingly impossible code, hence why we’re calling it magic.

These ingredients are packed with skin-enhancing benefits all in one unbeatable balm, so do yourself and your total body wellness a favor and take a sec to check out these ingredients that pack a punch.

Amla: If you're familiar with our line of clean beauty, you know this super potent antioxidant puts the glow in the Alo Glow System. The world's most concentrated source of antioxidants, this beauty-boosting superberry is packed with vitamin C. We love seeing the results improve the more we use our amla-infused products, and the beauty balm makes it easy to do just that.

Moringa Oil: This anti-aging antioxidant cleanses the skin, promotes even tone (A.K.A. clarity), and seals in hydration. If you tend to struggle with clarity due to a compromised moisture barrier — which happens to be a majority of human beings — moringa oil will be your saving grace. If you struggle with acne, balms typically are an avoid-at-all-cost product, but not our Magic Balm — this oil-based beauty tool is great for all skin types.

Buriti Fruit: Rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamin A, and essential for skin to produce its own retinol — yes, our skin can do that. Retinol doesn't just come in a tube from your dermatologist. Much like inner peace and acid reflux, we can make those ourselves with the proper conditions; of course, this botanical helps smooth, nourish, and moisturize the skin.

Coconut Oil: This super hydrating oil quickly absorbs into the skin helping to maintain a moisturized protective barrier.

Shea Butter: Shea butter's high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins gives skin a visibly smoother appearance, and who isn't down for that?

Rapeseed Oil: This powerhouse oil reinforces skin's natural moisture barrier with naturally occurring omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Cocoa Butter: Cocoa butter helps restore the appearance of skin's elasticity while locking in moisture, thanks to its high fatty acid content.

Aloe Vera: The ultimate skin-soother, aloe, is rapidly absorbed into the skin, where it seals in moisture.

Soapwort Leaf: This antioxidant moisturizes, soothes, and promotes the appearance of healthy skin aging.

Rosemary: This miraculous herb does way more than just season a roast chicken — it promotes skin's natural moisture barrier and clarity.

Sunflower Oil: Rich in antioxidant vitamin E, sunflower oil helps support moisture retention.

Soapbark: Soapbark gently cleanses, has natural antibacterial qualities, and is excellent for sensitive skin types.

Sesame Seed Oil: Sesame oil is rich in vitamins B and E, which help soothe skin and promote even skin tone.

HOW WE USE IT

With so many youth-promoting antioxidants, Magic Multi-Balm is the skincare and personal care we want to use as much as humanly possible. Thankfully, there are a million ways to use it. It was quite a challenge to narrow uses down for this post, but here are our favorite ways to use our most-loved multi-use balm.

LIP OIL

Every day, this magical salve has replaced our sticky lip glosses with this perfectly kissable formula that smooths the appearance of fine lines and wraps lips in nourishing hydration. A little gloss makes this the perfect alternative to our matte Lip Balm.

MAKEUP REMOVING CLEANSER

The best double-cleansing technique we've tried. It melts the eye makeup off your lashes while also being gentle enough for sensitive skin. Smooth over face and closed eyes, massaging in circles for at least a minute then rub makeup and dirt away with a cotton round or damp cloth. Follow with your Enzyme Facial Cleanser for the cleanest, most supple-feeling face.

SHAVE BALM

Are you stuck somewhere without your shaving cream? We got you. Apply a thin layer of Magic Multi-Balm, shave, and rinse. Massage the remaining oil into the skin, and you're good to go. Grab one for your man so he can skip the shaving cream, too.

HYDRATING + SOOTHING MASK

Fell asleep on the beach or skin feeling chapped après ski? For everything from overexposure to post microdermabrasion or peel, apply some balm to chapped, irritated skin for soothing reinforcement from aloe vera, coconut oil, and moringa oil. We love Magic Multi-Balm for any ailment that might usually require an ointment like petroleum jelly, only this formula is clean, natural, vegan and a million (billion?) times more nourishing.

SLUGGING

It might sound gross to some, but this method named after a slimy garden pest helps ramp up the benefits of your regular skincare products. Follow your skincare routine, and at the end, after your moisturizer (or in place of), layer Magic Multi-Balm over the top to "slug" in all the benefits. Leave on overnight and wake up to the happiest skin.

GLASS SKIN HIGHLIGHTER

If you're unfamiliar, glass skin is the Korean beauty term for skin so clear and blooming with health that it looks like glass. We get that you might not be down for a 10-step, Sarah Lee and Christine Chang-approved skincare routine, so Magic Multi-Balmcan take the place of at least 3 — cleansing serum, moisturizer, and highlighter. Add some balm to the high points of the face over skincare or makeup to turn up the glow factor. You can also apply it anywhere on the body that could use some extra glow. We love using it to extend the length of a tan; it really makes your legs look flawless.

 HANDS, FEET, ELBOWS & KNEES

Cracked, dry feet, hands, elbows, and knees drink this in. Smooth over affected areas as much as you need to. You can also intensify the effects by applying a thicker layer and putting on socks or rubber gloves to wear overnight. You’ll have baby feet by morning.
