Designed in Los Angeles, artisan-crafted in Italy
In the world of modern luxury, we believe the bag you carry is more than an accessory—it’s an extension of your lifestyle. The ALO Bag Collection is our evolution aligned with yours, an elevated statement to match the elevation of your practice, and an outward symbol of an inner dedication to wellness.
The Bag Collection was envisioned in Los Angeles by the ALO Design House, and handcrafted by highly skilled artisans in Florence, Italy, a city that has inspired artists for centuries. Florence is where Botecelli painted The Birth of Venus, where Michelangelo carved David’s well-toned physique out of marble, and where Leonardo Da Vinci began work on the Mona Lisa’s serene smile.
Florence’s location, surrounded with oak forests and sitting on the banks of the Arno River, has always made it a convenient home for leather workers. During the Renaissance, the skill of these tradesmen began to transform leather goods from utilitarian products into refined status symbols—objects of beauty. In the 20th century, Florence grew to become a hub of luxury fashion, where designers from the world over came to have their leather designs brought to life by the most-skilled leather artisans in the world, many of whom are carrying on traditions that are a life’s work and passed down through generations.
The ALO Bag Collection is the latest addition to this revered lineage. Each bag passes through the hands of multiple artisans, all of whom lend their skill and vision to the finished product. The bags are hand-constructed from responsibly-sourced calfskin leather and suede that carries a Silver Standard designation from the Leather Working Group. All the hardware is custom forged from brass, and the crystals were individually selected and hand transformed into jewelry in Florence.
The result is a collection that is timeless in form yet effortless in function, with a blend of timeless artistry and modern versatility that represents the future of luxury wellness. These are bags that are meant to be worn, to become a part of your daily life and routine, to flow with you from studio to street and into every aspect of your day.
