Color Story: Fall 17

Rich-Desert Earth Tones Get Street

We need to talk about fall’s palette. It’s at once street-right and so clearly tied to nature. What’s the story? The feeling came from California’s fall season and going out to the nearby deserts, says Mystika Jones, who leads the Alo design team. “There is a huge temperature shift in autumn and the sun sets earlier in fall creating beautiful colors in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs."

“We spend weeks on end getting the perfect colors picked out and, for this season, wanted to get across that sense of the refined side of nature colors,” she says. “We love picking ones that are a little less-than-obvious for active but are what you would want to wear in your daily wardrobe. “

Her personal favorites? "Sage and Pristine all the way." That's soft green and off-white if you're not following her.

Put it in neutral

Under-the-radar looks are so major right now. The quietest colors stand out the most IRL. Meet pristine, alloy, gravel, dove and anthracite, fall’s best un-colors.

How about some BTS feels...
